Cone Beam CT for Wisdom Teeth Extraction

When your wisdom teeth has not erupted, a dentist may refer you for an OPG initially to assess the location and position of it. Depending on how close the wisdom teeth is to the inferior dental nerve, the dentist may refer you for a Cone Beam CT to assess how close the nerve is to the tooth, and if you need to be referred to an oral surgeon for extraction.
